Abstract Aphids ( Aphis gossypii) are the main problem in patchouli plants Pogostemon cablin ). The presence of aphids on is very worried by farmers, because it can damage feeding leaf which reduces plant growth. Therefore, neccesary to learn more about biological A. gossypii plants. A was taken from Nino Park, Syiah Kuala University and Lamteuba, Aceh Besar. used result maintaining cuttings for two months be as an object observation. Infestation carried out 10 observation polybags. Observations were made looking at development time including nymph phase (instar I-IV) imago gossypii. experiment showed that life cycle lasted 23.8 ± 4.76 days. had four instar stages, duration needed each 2 days, means nymphal stage 8.8 lifecyle 15 There types imago, winged wingless caused population density a plant.
